Momentary and Light

affliction is from God – “yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” 1 Corinthians 8:6

Well, spring has sprung, as my friend has so joyfully posted about! Our flower bed, as my husband would say, is “popping off” with color and many blooms. We’ve seen some things coming up that were unidenifiable to my novice gardening eyes; but I e-mailed them to my mom, and over the phone, she idenified the plants! It was exciting to me for her to be our very own horticulture pathologist.

Anyway, here are just a few pictures of our spring flower bed.

My mom is basically a master gardener. She knows when to plant certain plants, which are periennals and annuals, and when to divide daylillies and irises. She’s really my go-to with anything that grows! Our flower bed is a little less than eye-appealing so far. All we have right now are bulbs after bulbs, of which I know only a few idenitifications!! Yikes. Here’s our first attempt at daffodils, tulips, and a little edible lettuce.

Today we’re going to Lowe’s for my birthday present – a small shopping spree for Encore Azaleas and a pot in which to plant herbs! We’re trying to sell our home, and Brandon really things we need some color in our flower bed for more than just 3 weeks (i.e. daffodils, tulips, etc). So, I thought Encore Azaleas, which are supposed to bloom from spring to fall, would provide some constant green and some other pretty color there all spring, summer, and fall! Maybe I’ll post a few pictures of those when we get them :)
